Oh Christmas Tree

As you can guess from the title we have our tree up.  WOOOHOOO  This may be the first year EVER that I didn't decorate the whole thing all by myself.  Coincidentally I think it is the best looking tree we have had too :) Must be Jared's touch (Or the fact hes the only one that can reach the top so the balls are actually spread out and not only from 5'4" and down)  Smiley

Here is Chase adding his own ornaments oh yeah and Cuesa sitting so pretty for the pic too.  The tree looks like its 5 foot tall but its 7 1/2 ft tall.  Chase is just getting so big :)

OK OK Cuesa looks slightly pissed at me in the second pic for making her wear that Santa headband, but she looked so cute!

I'm going to back track a little here and introduce you to my little piranha....

As stated in a previous blog this little munchkin's teeth are falling out at a rapid rate.  As you can see we wont be eating any whole apples anytime soon :)  Once a tooth is even slightly wiggly, Chase will work that thing to death.  Please see exhibit A below:

Then once he has a bloody masterpiece (My WHITE hand towels) he feels satisfied that its only a matter of time.  He's a piece of work.

So again backtracking.  Clearly I didn't think out my blog very well this time around....Turkey Day.  We had an awesome Thanksgiving.  Chase was at his moms and Jared, Cuesa and I went over to our wonderful friends Jay & Michelle's house.  A bunch of our friends all got together to spend the holiday together.  It was wonderful.  We had wayyyy to much food but just the right amount of drinks :)  It was a blast.  While we were all together we came up with an idea to be the Real Housewives of the Marine Corp.  So we are going to pitch our story to Bravo next week....I'll let everyone know how it goes :)  haha

Here we are all...

OK fast forward back to now (phewww tough blog to keep up with huh)  Jared is doing much better now after his surgery.  He can almost fend for himself full time.  Except of course when I get home then its like his knees have an allergic reaction to me because as soon as I get home BOOM he cant get off the couch!!!!!! But since he's so cute and bought me flowers (twice) for being his little nurse I guess I can handle it!

Jared and I went house/apt hunting yesterday, I know we lead exciting lives.  But we are so excited that we found the perfect place for us.  And even though we don't move until end of January we are still so excited to be out of our tiny apt and into a NEWER larger apartment.  So now I feel like December will fly by even faster than it usually does cause we are so excited to move.

Well now I need to start to think about Christmas shopping.....

Busy Busy Busy

Well these have been a couple busy busy busy weeks.  Since I started this blog I feel like a million things have happened....

For one Jared had bi-lateral knee surgery last Monday 11/08...That was fun to say the least.  The surgery itself was 2 1/2 hours long and we were at the hospital for over 9 hours.  I was exhausted.(Jared might have been a little too)  The nurses made Jared "walk" before he could go home.  I was thinking OMG are they serious, you know he just had Bi-lateral surgery right...meaning BOTH knees.  Apparently that doesn't matter he still had to walk to get out of the hospital so he basically tried to run just to go home.
Our first night home was as if I had just given birth to a new born.  I was exhausted and the "baby" cried ALLLLLLLL night long.  I didn't sleep more than 20 minutes before Mr Watson was needing me for something else.  In his defense the pain pills they gave him don't work for him and make him hyper so he couldn't sleep.  Poor guy.  He is doing a little better now after a week.  He is up and walking a little bit. (with crutches of course)  Which by the way his crutches are the same height as ME.  Today was his first physical therapy appt and everything seems to be going good.

Well all that and it was only MONDAY...sooooooo on Wednesday we had our best friends Roger and Michelle come in town from Virginia.  Roger just got home from a deployment last Friday 11/05 so the boys were very excited to see each other.  Since Jared was a little under the weather we enjoyed a lot of time at the house :(  (Just what they flew across the country to do)   We did manage to get him out of the house for food.  Not a real tough thing to bribe him with :)  We of course had to have Mexican when we have company in town. San Diego is the best place to get it.

Friday night was our Marine Corp Ball (our 6th one together) For those of you who don't know...They have this once a year to celebrate the Marine Corp Birthday.  Its a nice ceremony, dinner, drinks and dancing.  Well as you can imagine there was NO dancing.  We barely made it past the ceremony and Jared was ready for bed.  He isn't quite ready for a night full of partying yet!!!  But he sure did look handsome in his dress blues even with crutches :)

Saturday Chase had his 2nd soccer game and he is already doing very well.  He loves playing goalie. It is funny to watch this age play because they are like a bee swarm.  They all follow the ball and move all around the field this way.  I started playing at 5 and its funny to think this is what my parents had to come and watch on Saturday mornings.

Our friends left yesterday and went back home :(  We miss them already.

But Jared's aunt came in town today to help take care of the big baby and we are all very excited!   Hopefully I can get some cleaning done since we have another "mom" at the house to wait on the whiner hand and foot :)

Our most exciting news this week is that Chase lost his 2 front teeth :)  I dont have any pics of it, but I'll take some this week.  He has been waiting forever for these little guys to fall out.  He couldnt be more excited!!  They fell out like a day apart.  It was funny...so now his favorite song is "All I want for Christmas is..." He also has a third tooth that is loose that he has been working on for about 3 days now.  So hopefully that one will come out soon too.  The tooth fairy is going to go broke soon at my house, but we are very happy to get rid of his bad baby teeth and get some new ones in that he can take care of the right way!!!!!

Anyway like I said at the beginning...very busy week at our house and I have a feeling things will be much easier this week now that Mimi Marg is here to help :)

First Blog...Catching you up to Speed

Well this is my first blog :) And there isn't much going on in our lives. If you didn't already know we are now living in San Diego. We love it here, so we will enjoy it as long as the military will allow us too. Chase is living with us now (and by now I mean pretty much since June when he got out of Kindergarten) He is going to first grade with us and doing very well. He has a spelling test every Friday and he has gotten (3) 100 % and (1) 80% So, so far so good. He didn't do that great in kindergarten at his moms, but he sure is catching up and doing great now. He is getting so big.

Here is his First grade school picture....

The background was actually purple (a mistake on the schools part) Needless to say Chase was NOT happy to be the only boy in the class with a purple background. So thanks to technology we were able to make it blue and Chase is now happy again :) No more tears.

Chase just finished up baseball and is now onto soccer. Here is his baseball pic from about a month ago...Nice smile ;)

Sunday we went Trick or Treating and it was a blast. This was our first year being able to take Chase since he has always been with his mom on Halloween. So it was awesome!!! We went trick or treating in base housing and HOLY KIDS. I can definitely say that military people have lots of spawn. I felt like I was in kiddie city. Seriously there was a line of like 10 kids at every house. And there were like 1000 houses. (of course we didn't go to them all) But Chase had a blast. He said last year he only got to go to one house cause no one was giving out candy in his neighborhood...I know how sad :( But we made up this year. We even got to go into 3 haunted garages and I think I was more scared than him.

Here he is all dressed up :)

I am working here in San Diego at a home builder. I really like it. I write contracts for subcontractors. It pays the bills, so I cant complain :)

Jared is now flying on the Ospreys and he seems to like it. This aircraft is a lot more computer driven and he has a lot of new things to learn. The past 10 years he has been on the CH-46 (phrogs) and those he knows inside and out. Now he is learning the new one so lots of studying and book work. Poor guy, book work is not his thing. He's more a hands on kind of guy, but I think he likes the challenge.

Not really much else going on around here right now, just work for us and school for Chase. I will try to update this blog as often as I can when something exciting happens...might be a while :)

We love and miss all of our family and friends!
